手綱、あぶみ、はみ、馬櫛。

オブジェが一つ一つ暗闇から浮き上がる。コンポジションはいたってシンプル。けれど、単調ではない。革紐が優雅に孤を描き、微妙に形の異なるはみが軽快なリズムを奏でる。シンメトリックに配されているかのようで、実はアンシンメトリー。メタルと革、シルクという異質なオブジェの混在が、視覚を刺戟する。

Ėmergeant de l’obscurité, rênes, étriers, mors, peigne..., ils composent ensemble « Projets Carrés », un carré marqué de simplicité, ainsi que de dynamisme. En toute harmonie, les lanières tracent des courbes graicieuses, alors que les mors variés donnent une sensation d’un rythme joyeux. Par ailleurs, la symétrie apparente de la composition et la juxtaposition d’objets hétérogènes - métaux, cuirs et soie -  stimulent agréablement la vue.

Emerging from the darkness, reins, stirrups, bits, comb ... they compose together "Projets Carrés", a square marked by simplicity and dynamism. In harmony, strips trace graceful curves, while varied bits visually make a cheerful rhythm. Moreover, the apparent symmetrical composition and the juxtaposition of heterogeneous objects – metal, leather and silk - pleasantly stimulate the sight.

馬具は、アンリ・ドリニーの好む主題だ。創造の源泉といってもよい。アンリを惹きつけるのは、馬具のシンプルで、実用的で、ミニマムなフォルム。だから、馬具工房を原点とするメゾンは、アンリにとってうってつけの仕事場だ。

Comme vous le savez, l’harnachement est un des sujets de prédilection, voire une source d’inspiration chez Henri d’Origny. Parce qu'il est simple et commode, et fabriqué avec une économie de moyens. Donc, la maison, un ancien harnacheur, est pour lui un endroit idéal de travail.

As you know, the harness is one of the favorite subjects, even a source of inspiration for Henri d’Origny. Because it is simple and convenient, and manufactured with an economy of means. So the house, a former harness and saddle maker, is for the aritste an ideal work place.

緻密な観察眼で丁寧に描きだされた一つ一つのオブジェ。とりわけ、見事なのがその質感の表現だ。手をのばせば触れられそうなモノそのものの存在感。ふと、ジョン・スチュワートの静物写真を思い起こす。絵画のように構築された写真。ただモノがそこに在るというだけで、こんなにも力強い表現になる。

Ce qui est remarquable dans ce carré, c’est la description méticuleuse d’objets et surtout le rendu de leur texture très réaliste. Cette existence des objets en tant que tels rappelle la photographie de John Stewart. Faisant écho à la peinture classique, sa nature-morte se distingue par une expression puissante et singulière de chaque objet.

What is remarkable in this square is that the objects are meticulously described and especially their texture is depicted in a very realistic way. The existence of objects as such recalls the photograph of John Stewart. Echoing the classical painting, his still life is distinguished by a powerful and singular expression of each object.
