What you achieve with these looks Iris is what is called : Smart Casual. Terribly hard to get this effect. You have the kind of look that will look right in anywhere. You can go browsing outside or taking tea in a luxury place. BRAVO
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, thank you for your sweet compliment which made my day since I didn’t know these looks are called Smart Casual. As you described, I like watching H men’s collection because these looks are practicable in anywhere, they are so effortless and agreeable. :-)
Deletehope all is well Iris
Deleteelle from parisian chic blog x
Extra!!!! J'adore !!
Lovely Iris! I agree with Julie K above - you achieve Smart casual so effortlessly! Can you tell me how you have tied your scarves in photos 1 & 4 - is it just a single knot or have you folded the scarf specially? They all look great. Thanks for sharing. SAxx
ReplyDeleteThank you SA for your lovely comments! The knot of photo No.1 is MT’s Asymmetrical shoulder wrap knot, tied very near the neck. For No.4, I firstly folded my scarf in rectangle and, as you guessed, did a single knot in a very loose way. Terracotta hems of Au Fil are so lovely, aren’t they? :-)
DeleteHello Iris,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations once again for your inspirational post. I adore your idea of casual man type outfits paired with a silk scarf. Actually, the more I look at your photos and the more I think: these male models should wear a silk scarf too...
All the best :-)
Anne Touraine (Playing with Scarves)
Hi Anne,
DeleteThank you for stopping by! It is very rare to see the men wearing the scarf in town, but as you say, they should wear it!! I think straight lines of men’s outfits really go well with those of the scarf… But that doesn’t mean the lady can’t wear the silk of course ;-)))
Oh, Iris! Such lovely pairings! You have a great understanding of the color wheel, in particular as shown in photo number one - complimentary colors. Too bad for me that I do not have anything in that color of sweater, scarf twin, as I would be very tempted to copy the color combination. Love the knots in photos two and four. Well done, as always, dear.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Thank you again dear Cynthia!
DeleteAs you pointed out, I sometimes love to wear in complementary colors as that could bring freshness and dynamism to the dairy outfits :-) Day by day, this blue AN is becoming a special scarf because when I wear it I always think of you!!
Thank you, dear, for the sweet compliment. I am so happy to be scarf twins with you! The colors that you put with it, and the styling is so inspiring. I wore mine today in a mens knot, paired with jeans and a black blazer, accented with a turquoise and silver bracelet.

The interpretation of your inspiration board is fantastic.I love all variations esp the outfit number3.I'm amazed at how many looks you can put together.I so love to play with my clothes, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're okay, Iris. I miss your blog.

Iris.J

I just discovered your blog. I am so inspired by your outfits and how you use your scarves. I hope you haven't abandoned blogging! Would love to see more of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteI agree with other blogreaders, really miss your blog!!!/Eva from Sweden
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Iris, and wondering which scarves for FW catch your eye. I really miss your blog!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Iris sending you my warm wishes, hope all is good, from your fellow scarf fan Elle x

Oh, Iris .....I so wish that you would restart your blog again. Hope that you are well, dear.

Iris,
ReplyDeleteMissing your post sso much... I hope everything it's wellll
Thinking of you, Iris, and hoping all is well. I miss your blog, posts, and comments. Your posts were such an inspiration. I continue to look back on your previous posts in awe.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Dear Iris, I have a request to make. I think you are the type of person who can make anything (whether expensive or inexpensive) look fantabulous, so my request is for you to further inspire us by restarting your blog using everyday inexpensive clothing, accessories, shoes, etc. I'll bet you can make it work! :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Iris, I too, have a request. If I had to place a guess on which one scarf you bought in SS, it would be Mythiques Phoenix. Perhaps you can style this scarf for me? I have this scarf, as well as Au Coeur de la Vie (cw21) which I wore in a a look inspired by 25March2012 post, second photo. I hope you begin blogging again, dear.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Dear Iris, I'm beginning to think that you never really existed in the first place! This site must be just an Hermes ad disguised as a personal blog -- I'm very sure those really exist en masse! Prove me wrong! Come back! :-)
ReplyDeleteIris, won't you please consider coming back? Please.....
ReplyDeleteTake a look at the number of page views you have, Iris. I hope that you reconsider, and come back.
ReplyDeleteComme beaucoup de monde je serais ravie du redémarrage de votre blog découvert cet automne,j'adore vos idées.Cordialement
ReplyDeleteWill you come back when you reach 100,000 page views, Iris? Two years later, and I still miss your thought provoking style. You are a genius, Iris.
ReplyDeleteIris, come back! Your blog is the epitome of class and grace, and now with so many of the founding tPF H bloggers gone (or who have become accessory vendors rather than style bloggers) you really are missed as a style leader. We miss you!
ReplyDeleteI agree with many of the posts in which you are asked to return to blogging, and sharing your style. I learned so much from your color pairings, which were brilliant! And look at your page views! You and your impeccable style are missed. I also agree with OC Housewife. It's hard to find a H scarf blog that focuses on style. I've saved most of your photos for reference, but check your blog to see if you have decided to come back to blogging. I hope one day, you will return, Iris.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Iris, we want you to come back! Would you please post on tpf to let us know that you're okay?
ReplyDeleteWe still have not persuaded you to return to your blog, Iris? Many people wish for your return.
ReplyDeleteIris, again, please some back! We need H style bloggers. The one who started as an H style blogger (MT) is now a accessory vendor, ask a previous post suggests.
ReplyDeleteToday the post of said blogger was Merry Christmas, oh and introducing the most recent items to my collection.... You have such great, innovative style that you are missed.
Your style is stunning! You're very creative with color combinations. Why don't you post anymore?
ReplyDeleteSeveral bloggers have now turned to Instagram, citing ease of posting. Would you consider that as an option, Iris? You impeccable style was the most creative and inspiring out there.
ReplyDeletePlease come back and pick up on this blog again.
ReplyDeleteI lovr it.
Please come back, Iris. I've saved many of your photos to my file, but would love to see you post again. Another post mentioned Instagram. I hope you decide to do that one day.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Stumbled onto your blog. Very impressed at how well you have the ability to pull colors together. If you come back on Instagram, or regular posts I would follow you.
ReplyDeleteCarol
Iris j: Your blog rocks! Great style. I noticed that you haven't posted in years. Did you move over to Instagram?
ReplyDeleteThis is the best Hermes scarf styling blog!
