Style book #37: Inspired by LOEWE S/S 2011

Going back a little time, I would like to present the 2011 Spring-Summer collection of Loewe, a collection that remains etched in my memory. Very colorful, the show is an absolute ode to the lightness and cheerfulness of spring. Loewe, reputated as one of the best makers of the leather products in the world, dare dye in bright color even its high quality leather. What vivacity! It is really fascinating.

And then, there are flying butterflies, the leitmotif of the season. The Pyrenees of Spain is actually known as the habitat of the butterflies, which does not contradict the fact that the country produced many entomologists in the past. Inspired by the beauty of the butterfly specimens conserved in the National Museum of Natural Sciences of Spain, Loewe created this beautiful butterfly pattern and printed also on the scarf.

I have so much pleasure reading you that I wish to let you know that you have someone from Paris who follow your blog. In fact, I do not have the pleasure to share my passion for the H scarf much around me, some never see the light, that does not stop me to get some news ones. Most of my friend do not understand. You inspire me to dig in my collection and wear them. You are doing such a fantastic job, Julie

    1. Hi Julie,
Thank you for your so sweet words! So, wow, do you speak Japanese? I have to say I was very happy to know you love reading my blog. Thank to you! And I’m exactly in the same situation as you, I have no scarf lovers around me. That’s why I started this blog and it is really a great pleasure to share my passion with all of you… and hearing from you too. Hope you never give up enjoying your treasures even your friends don’t understand you!

    2. Hello Iris,
I lived in Japan in 1989 for a year in Tokyo, Meguro. I do speak enough Japanese to get by. Previously I lived in USA, Washington DC but I am a true parisian. If you ever need some informations from Paris I'll be glad to help you. Do not hesitate to let me know. It is always wonderfull to discover a new article for you.

  6. Hi Julie,
Thank you so much for your kind proposition. I will surely contact you if I need some helps :-) And what a coincidence! I am now living next to Meguro and I lived in Paris for several years, so Paris is second home town of my heart. I really learned a lot from you Parisians how to wear elegantly. It was a radical change, I can say if I didn’t have this experience I would never fall in love with H scarves. So, hearing from you, a true Parisian, means a lot for me! Bonne journée à vous!

Oh, my goodness! Iris, I was nearly drooling all over my keyboard over photo one and the combination of neutrals! Gorgeous! Love the scarf, too. Love the colors in three and four as well. You're lucky to own the Jungle Love dip dye! The colors are fabulous.

    1. Thank you for your lovely words Cynthia. Your sweet compliment on the first photo pleased me a lot since this kind of neutral palette was relatively new for me. Especially, I have to say I had never paid attention to taupe color before I became addict of H scarves. I knew there were grey, beige and khaki, but I didn’t know taupe color! (Do you see what I want to mean? ;-) )

Are you claiming to be a novice at neutrals, dear Iris? If this was one of your first attempts, you excelled by all boundaries! To me, it's stunning, and I have studied the combinations many times already.

Do I want to see taupe? Yes!!! Yes!!! Please show me your taupe, Iris! :-))))))
